INTERNAL PAGEANT PREPARATION
There are 3 major categories every pageant contestant must train in to attain the right knowledge, tools and skills to be fully prepared to compete and win a pageant. The first two are:
Image/Branding – You are your own brand. The image and brand you want to portray to the judges is vital. Preparation in this area includes application/bio writing, wardrobe, hair & make-up styling, on and off-stage presence, modeling, interview skills and on-stage speaking. Anything that has to deal with creating the overall brand for yourself and outward appearance would fall under this category.
Physical – Although physical preparation could technically fall into the Image/Branding category, building physical strength, stamina and healthy nutritional habits takes a separate set of skills, tools, knowledge and resources to use and master.
Most contestants receive training to get prepared in the two categories above by a traditional pageant coach and personal trainer. They are crucial in developing major aspects of your skills and abilities to win a pageant, but there is one more category with 5 major components that will make or break you. Without proper preparation and mastery in this one category, it will be nearly impossible for you to win the crown.
