Importance of Mental Conditioning

Every great athlete and competitor will attest to the importance of training mentally, in addition to physically, in order to achieve success.

I’m sure you have even experienced a situation where you’ve had to tap into your mental toughness in order to gain the concentration and motivation to complete a workout, a competition or race.

Winning and doing well in a pageant requires the same set of skills.

The mental strength needed to successfully compete for a pageant isn’t just needed for that particular weekend either, you also need it while training before the pageant and even afterward.
The stress of practicing, getting sponsors, finishing your paperwork, finding the perfect wardrobe and every other detail you need to organize will require mental toughness. If the pageant preparation itself overwhelms you, then you can guess pageant weekend experience will be no different.

Create A Mental Strategy

This is why you need a mental strategy. Every pageant winner goes into competition with a clear strategy, is focused, motivated, positive and relaxed – whether she realizes it or not. You need to know how to effectively handle stress and even use it to your advantage. Every one of us has particular ways of getting and staying relaxed, motivated and focus. The tricky part is trying to figure out exactly what it takes and how to do it. That’s where I can help!
Just as you need to invest the time and energy to create your “strategy” for the pageant with your walking, posing, interview and wardrobe styling, it also takes time to master the skills of mental toughness and to create a strategy that’s right for you.
It takes 40 days to create or break a habit, so when it comes time to implementing your mental strength training, you want to ensure you give yourself plenty of time to implement the tools, skills and techniques so you’ve mastered them in time for your pageant.
If you need help developing your mental conditioning strategy, you can always call me to set-up a consultation.
